30 Words: Ice

City's old bones rest under dirty white and painful ice.
The grit and blocks of industrial ages peer through,
Awaiting the coming of spring, traffic, and life.
Waiting for renewal.

This week's addition to 30 Word Thursdays was taken in the North Loop of Minneapolis on a recent chilly walk between breweries.  See how I tied in beer this week!?  Check out the other 30 Word entries this week at the Treasures Found Blog!

A fascinating photo. I like the contrast from the rust under the ice.

The words painful ice capture this picture perfectly. I think we're all waiting for some spring renewal!

These ice formations are like urban stalactites. The steely blue reminds me of drusy. There is a beauty to the wildness. But spring cannot come fast enough! Thank you for joining in the 30 Words Challenge! Enjoy the day! Erin
