Sparkling blue waves
Reach for clear cerulean sky
Bright sun glints from metal and glass
Reflective beams throw light and shadow
Perspective and reality skews
Warped river flows
Upward Icarus
This week's 30 Word Thursday pic was taken right outside the J.W. Marriott hotel in Grand Rapids, MI. I was struck by the unusual sculpture and had to take pictures! It turns out that the sculpture was created to commemorate the addition of fluoride to the water supply...talk about a weird subject for art. As a health professional having seen some terrible teeth over the years, I appreciate the wonders of fluoride as much as the next guy. Interestingly on a trip to Bend, Oregon last year the whole town was super excited about how they had just removed the evil toxins of fluoride from their water. If I was a dentist I'd be moving out there right about now...

Love the perspective on this!!! When I looked at the thumbnail, I thought it was a guitar.
Such a great shot! Those blues are terrific. What a funny thing to make art from, but it just goes to show that inspiration is indeed everywhere! Thanks for joining in the 30 Words. Enjoy the day! Erin
