30 Words: Spikes

A gate of cold iron and deadly blade to keep strangers away.

Hard intricate beauty despite fatal function.

A steely cruel heart forged to impale and keep others at bay.

Erin at the Treasures Found Blog has thrown down the artistic gauntlet and encouraged folks to do a 30 Word Thursday blog post.  This week's installment comes from my trip to Belgium, taken on my iPhone.  Oh, and we get to go back this spring!

I'm such a fan of wrought iron fences and you captured this one so well! In addition, your words effectively speak of their beauty and menace. Awesome.

So rigid and solid and structural. Beautiful in a deadly sort of way!

An excellent narrative for a Fanflippingtastic photo.

Thanks so much for the comments folks! I'm really loving the chance to share some of my pictures and try my hand at writing poetry.

You are a gifted photographer. I love the perspective. Wrought iron always makes me think of jewelry and I like the idea of the soft curves with the hard spikes. Like modern day armor.
Thank you for joining the Challenge! Enjoy the day! Erin
